Melbourne is a delightful city. The architecture is
beautiful, the trams make getting around quite easy, and there's a
great collection of restaurants and bars.
As luck would have it, we arrived on a Friday
night so I ventured over to Commercial Street where there is a
concentration of bars and clubs.
We had several days to explore various areas of
Melbourne, from the city center to Lygon Street, Brunswick Street,
Smith Street, as well as the Commercial Road/Church Street area.
We also met up with Jules from Cayman Brac who
drove us up to Upwey and the nearby mountains for lunch and
sightseeing and down to St. Kilda.
On the last day, we met up with our friends Brad
and Sue and boarded the overnight ferry to Tasmania.
Below are a few photographs from the Melbourne area.
