Lake Powell - September, 2003

Chris and I flew out to Lake Powell with our friend Brian for
an afternoon of waverunning. We departed IFR through the
marine layer at Reid-Hillview airport around 7:30am and headed south
to Dagget, east to the Peach Springs VOR, then northerly across the
Grand Canyon to Page, Arizona.
We hit the water around 2pm and swung past the
Glen Canyon dam on the way to Navajo canyon. We took the
waverunners all the way to the end of the right fork of Navajo
Canyon and had lunch on a small beach there. Afterwards, we
worked our way back to Wahweap marina.
The following day, we departed Page airport and
headed northeast to the Rainbow Bridge. After getting a good
view of Rainbow Bridge and a few pictures of West Canyon, we started
the trip home.
